3D Scanning
Scanning is the process of reading and converting the various surfaces that make up an object into a three-dimensional point cloud. Each of these points has X, Y, Z values (and may have additional attributes) and represents a position in 3D space, creating a detailed representation of the object's surface.
3D Modelling
It is the development of a three-dimensional graphical representation of an object by means of points, lines, surfaces and solids, using CAD softwares for this purpose.
